The state's largest metropolitan area is that of the Greater Oklahoma City area. The state's official mammal is the American bison. Oklahoma was the 46th state to join the Union.
Trivia
The state's motto is, "Labor omnia vincit." The shopping cart was invented in Ardmore, OK in 1936. The very first Girl Scout cookies were sold in Muskogee, OK.
